Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the logistics industry, located in Long Beach, California. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity where you will be tasked with managing customer accounts, processing payments, and maintaining vendor information. Responsibilities: Efficiently process customer credit applications and perform invoice processing tasks. Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records. Update vendor information as needed, including bank account details and address changes. Execute check runs and perform account reconciliation tasks. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry tasks, no complex formula usage required. Handle routine accounts payable tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Respond to customer inquiries, providing timely and appropriate solutions. Monitor customer accounts, taking necessary actions to ensure compliance. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the accounts payable department. Learn and adapt to new systems as required, training will be provided for specific platforms such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP Experience with account reconciliation and invoice processing Knowledge in coding invoices and conducting check runs Ability to utilize Accounts Payable (AP) systems effectively Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Good communication and interpersonal skills A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field would be advantageous.
