Description We are seeking a proficient Tax Manager to manage and oversee all aspects of tax filing procedures for a C-corp company and other entities where no tax-related tasks have been previously undertaken. The Tax Manager will be primarily responsible for thorough tax compliance and reviewing complex income tax returns.Responsibilities:
Conduct accurate tax filing in accordance with applicable tax laws.
Supervise and coordinate tax audits for the company.
Establish and implement tax policies and procedures to confirm full compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Conduct detailed reviews of all corporate income tax returns (federal, state, local, and foreign).
Assist in maintaining proper accounting records and make necessary modifications in company ledger as necessary.
Keep abreast of the latest tax and accounting procedures.
Provide leadership to the tax department team.
Coordinate with various teams to resolve tax-related issues.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant discipline (MAcc or MST & CPA preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax role in a public accounting firm or professional services firm, preferably with C-corp taxation focus.
Proficient with corporate, partnership, and individual income tax filing procedures.
High level research skills to handle complex tax issues.
Familiarity with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and financial statements.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
