ARMED SECURITY OFFICER JOB DESCRIPTION
Position responsibilities
- Vehicle Patrol with a partner or solo patrol and maintain general security of assigned park, facility, or property as described in Post Orders.
- Demonstrate professional communications with visitors, vendors and client staff.
- Respond to calls for service including medical, fire and damage to property.
- Respond to security related complaints and ensure proper documentation is completed as per policy.
- Generate and submit electronic Incident Reports and Maintenance reports using a mobile application.
- Issue warnings or citations for violations of city ordinances and vehicle code sections.
- Work under general supervision of Site Supervisor, Quality Control Manager, and/or Client Manager.
- Maintain consistent performance, attendance, uniform appearance, and professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years High School graduate or equivalent.
- Possess and maintain a valid CA Guard Registration (guard card), Exposed Firearm Card and own duty-type firearm, Pepper Spray/ Tear gas certification and Baton Card.
- Must have a valid California Driver's License and clean DMV history (no points on record).
- Ability to successfully pass a firearm qualification with one of our in-house instructors.
- Ability to successfully pass a thorough oral interview
- Ability to successfully pass a multi panel drug screen.
- Ability to successfully pass an MMPI-2 psychological assessment.
- Have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Fluent in English (fluency in other languages a plus)
- Ability to read, write and understand written orders, policies, procedures, and how to apply them.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Willingness and ability to conduct physical detention of individuals suspected of criminal activity, issue citations, and complete incident reports as needed.
