TEMPORARY ASSISTANT AIR QUALITY SPECIALISTS/AIR QUALITY SPECIALISTS
Sierra Cybernetics is seeking two temporary Assistant Air Quality Specialists/Air Quality Specialists to support our Diamond Bar client, The South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD).
You will support technology development and commercialization efforts to reduce NOx emissions and advance clean fuel solutions. Key areas include:
Battery-electric & hydrogen fuel cell medium-/heavy-duty vehicles
Charging & hydrogen refueling infrastructure
Clean fuels & emissions studies
Micro-grid energy management
Zero-/near-zero emission locomotives, vessels, port & construction equipment
Technology readiness evaluation & early deployment
Alignment with National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS)
This assignment is expected to last approximately 6 months
Open to US citizens, green card holders, or H1-B visa holders.
Work Schedule: Four 10-hour days, Tuesday – Friday. On those days, the individual selected for this assignment will start at 7:00 a.m. and end at 5:30 p.m. The work schedule is currently in hybrid mode, with two in-office days and two telework days.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of significant college coursework in electronics, engineering, physics, chemistry or related fields OR directly transferable experience.
California Class C Driver License and auto insurance that meet California requirements.
SKILLS
Provide technical expertise in mobile source emission analyses, including the use of spreadsheets, databases, and other statistical software.
Gather and analyze complex data and prepare succinct and easy to understand reports and recommendations geared to different audiences, including South Coast AQMD management and various external stakeholders.
