MOLD MAKER

SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Analyze and repair injection molds

o Disassemble production molds, clean completion.

o Modify, or repair existing tools and procedures that require fitting and to meet requirements.

o Operate tool room equipment at a grinders, lathe, and mills, and other

o Read and interpret drawings and specifications models.

o Verify machined parts for conformance measuring instruments.

o Ability to read and interpret document such as mold prints/part print, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

o Ability to read, write and understand instructions, memos and or emails.

o Adhere to Good Manufacture Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

o Must be able to work in a fast pace environment, prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.

o Ability to multitask to fully carry out instructions.

o Ability to pay close attention to details.

o Must be a team player.

o Dependable and reliable.

o Computer knowledge (Excel, word etc.)

o Knowledge of IQMS a plus.

o Willing to submit background /drug checks.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

o Completion of a four-year tool and die making apprenticeship program; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

o Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

o Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

o Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, basic geometry.

COMMUNICATION:

o Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and

maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

o Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

o Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or co-workers.
