MOLD MAINTENANCE
SUMMARY:
o The Mold Maintenance Repair makes sure molds are being maintained on schedule and in
accordance with Trademark Plastics Inc. specifications and customer expectations. Works with
management to improve level of care and maintenance, as well as insure continuous improvement.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Follow safety requirements and participates in the Safety Training Program.
o Modification of mold, dies, jigs and fixture, gauges, cutting tools, and change overs/configuration
changes that are able to be changed at the press enabling the tool to keep running.
o Disassemble production molds and check for wearing and tear on any parts of the tool, clean the
molds, and reassemble upon completion.
o Perform adjustments to existing tools and dies to meet requirements.
o Operate tool room equipment at a high level of competency including EDM, grinders, lathe, and
mills/hand tools.
o Read and interpret drawings and specifications of tools, dies, prototypes,
or models.
o Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
o Inspect and test completed tools, dies, jigs, or fixtures for proper operation.
o As time permits after duties are completed; the Mold Maintenance Repair will train weekly on
Routsis and Solid Works.
o Must be committed to safety policies and continual improvement.
o Performs general housekeeping duties to keep the work area and the company neat and organized
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Ability to read and interpret documents such as mold prints/part prints, safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
o Ability to read, write, and understand instructions, memos, and/or emails.
o Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs') and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs').
o Must be able to work in a fast pace environment, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
o Ability to multitask to fully carry out instructions.
o Ability to pay close attention to detail.
o Must be a team player.
o Dependable and reliable.
o Computer knowledge (Excel, Word, etc.) is a plus.
o IQMS is required to complete tooling work orders.
o Willing to submit background/drug checks.
EDUCATON AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
o High school diploma or general education degree (GLD).
o Completion of a four (4) years tool and die apprenticeship program; or two (2) to four (4) years
related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
