Job Title: 2nd Shift Extrusion Dept OperatorJob Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals for the position of 2nd Shift Extrusion Dept Operator.

As a 2nd shift Production Operator, you will be trained to operate a variety of extrusion equipment.

Responsibilities include setting up machines based on production orders, maintaining production quality, obtaining samples for quality control, labeling, and packing finished products.

Responsibilities

Check operating controls and safety of equipment prior to operation.

Obtain materials for processing from inventory bins and notify the supervisor if damaged, defective, or missing material is found.

Set up machines based on production orders.

Monitor material quality for any defects and adjust machine parameters as needed.

Label and pack finished products as produced on the machine per work order instructions.

Review work orders/drawings and resolve conflicts.

Wear a respirator to perform machine setup.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.

Comply with OHSA safety standards when performing job duties.

Notify the supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.

Essential Skills

2 years of experience in Heavy General Labor, Heavy Machine operating, Carpentry, or Construction.

High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Good attendance record.

Hard worker in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Teamwork skills.

Fast learner.

Patience.

Self-motivated.

Some power tool skills.

Some mechanical skills.

Interest in operating machinery.

Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Good job tenure is a must. Candidates with 3 jobs in 3 years will not be considered.

Additional Information:Extrusion Department: 2 Positions: Schedule - 2B: 3pm-11:30pm, OFF Sun/Mon, $22.50/hr. (Trains on 2A, 3pm-11:30pm, Off Fri/Sat, $22.50 for 3-4 months) 1 Position: Schedule - 2C: 3pm-11:30pm, OFF Wed/Thurs, $23/hr. (Trains on 2A, 3pm-11:30pm, Off Fri/Sat, $22.50 for 3-4 months) 1 Position: Schedule - 2D: 3pm-11:30pm, OFF Tues/Wed, $23/hr. (Trains on 2A, 3pm-11:30pm, Off Fri/Sat, $22.50 for 3-4 months)

Should be flexible to work Overtime

Overtime is on a volunteer basis.
