Under direct or general supervision, this position coordinates, implements, and maintains economic development programs for the City of Eureka; serves as a primary point of contact for public information; is responsible for citywide communications including marketing, media relations, and social media; manages the City's brand across all platforms and develops and implements strategic communications, campaigns, and outreach initiatives that promote the City of Eureka and its programs. Responsibilities include analyzing departmental operations and recommending improvements to policies, procedures and organizational practices; fostering cooperative working relationships among City departments and acting as a liaison with various community, public and regulatory agencies.
