Front Desk / Customer Service Rep
Fortuna Iron is a small, fast paced steel fabrication company with a long history of excellent customer service. We are seeking a full time Front Desk / Customer Service Rep to join our team. Must be highly organized, able to multi-task, possess a positive attitude, have excellent customer service, communication skills and be willing to learn.
Key Duties:
Manages multiple line telephone system for the office and service location.
Answers phone in a courteous and efficient manner, routes calls to appropriate person, takes accurate messages and delivers them to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
Greets clients at front desk. Provides intake for ‘Walk–In’ fabrication & material sales
Supports Office Manager in processing transactions and organizing daily activities to assure efficient operations
Supports General Manager & Shop Foreman with a variety of administrative tasks
Communicates to Customers re estimates, schedules, invoices
Proposal writing, job initialization, project research for General Manager & shop fireman
Assembles project binders, print labels, sort mail, send out envelopes and packages.
Miscellaneous office ordering: office supplies, company shirts, printer cartridges, Costco runs.
Administrative support to all employees

Strong customer service skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Organized, detail oriented, thorough and accurate
Provide excellent, clear, concise verbal & written communication
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, Google Sheets
Proven ability to take initiative and responsibility for completing work within a team environment
Knowledge of metals, fabrication processes, a plus!
Associates Degree (preferred)
1 year of administrative and/or customer service assistance experience (preferred)
Hours are M-F 7:30 to 4:30.
