Payroll Clerk

Description Robert Half, the leading global talent management firm, is looking for an experienced and dedicated Payroll Clerk to join our client in the manufacturing industry based in Hayward, CA on a temporary basis.Job Description:As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring that our client's employees are paid accurately and promptly. You will be in charge of collecting and verifying timekeeping information for all employees, calculating pay according to hours worked, and preparing and issuing paychecks.Responsibilities: Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees Calculate pay according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime Prepare and issue paychecks and statement of earnings and deductions Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfersRequirements Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Proven experience as payroll clerk Familiarity with general accounting principles Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and regulations Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software (e.g., QuickBooks)At Robert Half, our dedicated recruitment team provides you with a highly personalized approach.
