Come and join Dr. Iriff Ulep and her wonderful dental team in Arroyo Grande as she provides exceptional care for the community! She has a growing family and cosmetic dental practice located in the Village Creek Plaza by the post office and Ace Hardware. Dr. Ulep focuses on providing compassionate and thorough care and is excited for you to join her as she strives to enhance the patient experience. She is seeking a Dental Sterilization Technician/Dental Assistant to become the next valuable addition to her dental practice. This vital team position is a great fit for a hard-working, detail-conscious, & solution-oriented individual. The office is open from 8am-5pm Tues, Wed, and Thur which provides the team the flexibility of having that work-life balance. We are interested in candidates who are dependable and reliable to work our current work schedule.

A Dental Sterilization Technician/Dental Assistant is a vital clinical care position that requires attention to detail and optimal care in handling instruments for sterilization and maintenance. Dental back office experience is a plus BUT, NOT REQUIRED. Dr. Ulep is willing to train the right person and hopes to receive your resume today!

Responsibilities

Greeting and preparing patients and rooms for restorative and hygiene treatments

Preparing restorative/hygiene trays for the day’s schedule

Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment

Chairside charting and assisting, as needed, for the doctor or hygienist

Communicating & supporting dental team to promote smooth work flow

Maintaining & organizing back office supplies

Organizing lab cases and organizing/cleaning the lab

Assisting check-ins and walk-outs for patients at the front desk

Creating next appointment cards for patients

Confirming patients for next day/future appointments

Requirements:

-Board-approved 2hr course on Dental Practice Act

-Current BLS certification (reimbursement for re-certification can be negotiated based on date)

-X-ray license & Infection Control Certificate (both completed within 30 days of employment, if needed; reimbursement can be negotiated)

-Open Dental software knowledge, a plus!

-Spanish-speaking, a plus!

Pay: Competitive up to $25.00 per hour, DOE

Job Types: Full office hours, 8am-5pm T, W, Th

High school or equivalent (Required)

Dental Assisting Experience: Some experience is great but, NONE REQUIRED

RDA License: (Preferred but not required)

X-Ray Certification: (Will be required)
