About the Role
The American Endurance Ride Conference (AERC), a national nonprofit supporting long-distance equestrians, is seeking a Member Services Coordinator to join our small, dedicated team in Auburn, CA. This position blends administrative support, member engagement, and marketing responsibilities in a vibrant and active sporting community.
You’ll be the first point of contact for many of our 4,000 members across the U.S. and Canada, helping ensure a smooth and positive experience while also playing a key role in promoting endurance riding and organizing our annual national convention.
Key Responsibilities
Process new and renewing memberships, horse registrations, and endurance ride results using AERC’s database
Respond to member inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and friendliness
Assist in planning and logistics for AERC’s annual convention (travel required; expenses covered)
Order and manage promotional items and awards; coordinate timely fulfillment and shipping to members
Help develop and implement marketing initiatives, seasonal promotions, sponsor relations
Contribute to social media posts and outreach campaigns
Support updates to the AERC website (WordPress)
Collaborate with team members to adapt to day-to-day organizational needs
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel)
Familiarity with WordPress, Constant Contact, and Adobe Creative Suite is desirable
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Comfortable working in a small team environment where flexibility and initiative are valued
Willingness to take on a variety of tasks, including social media posts, Zoom setup, and other duties as needed
Interest in equestrian sports or nonprofit work is a plus, but not required
