The Opportunity:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to play a crucial role in our warehouse operations. This position involves hands-on work in receiving, sorting, storing, and distributing food donations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and the timely distribution of food to those in need.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
Receive, unload, and verify incoming food donations.
Sort, organize, and store food items according to established protocols.
Pick and pack orders for distribution to partner agencies and individuals.
Load and unload delivery trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits.
Safety & Sanitation:
Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and food safety standards.
Conduct regular safety inspections and participate in safety training.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
Certifications: Must be able to pass a background check and a current driver's license with a clean driving record.
Skills: Preferred experience in operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and box trucks. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements: Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.
Hours: Short-term temp, part-time or full-time option available, with competitive pay (DOE).
