We are seeking an exceptional Household Operations Manager to oversee the operations of our home with initiative, professionalism, and a deep understanding of our preferences. This role requires approximately 10–15 hours per week, typically split across two to four days a week, worked out on a week-to-week basis, for a married couple. The position offers $38–$42 per hour based on experience. The ideal candidate will take ownership of household operations, anticipate needs, and drive tasks forward independently while maintaining close alignment with us.

- Grocery Shopping & Meal Preparation: Plan and execute grocery shopping with an eye for quality and dietary preferences. Prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals tailored to our tastes and schedules.
- Errand & Task Coordination: Handle errands efficiently, such as picking up prescriptions, dry cleaning, or other personal requests, while optimizing time and resources.
- Light Housekeeping Oversight: Perform light chores (e.g., laundry, kitchen tidying, dishes) and coordinate with a regular house cleaner who visits every two weeks to ensure the home remains organized and welcoming.
- Appointment Assistance: Assist with making appointments and sending appointment reminders to keep us on track, without managing our full schedules.
- Internet Research: Conduct research on household products, travel options, or other assigned projects, providing clear and actionable recommendations.
- Organizational Skills & Projects: Implement organizational systems and projects (e.g., pantry organization, document management) to keep the household efficient and well-organized.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Anticipate potential issues, propose solutions, and implement improvements to enhance household efficiency and comfort.
- Personalized Support: Provide tailored assistance for other needs, such as organizing events, managing correspondence, or handling special projects, with a focus on aligning with our preferences and lifestyle.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as a household operations manager, personal assistant, or similar role with demonstrated ability to manage complex households independently.
- Leadership & Initiative: Self-starter with a track record of taking ownership, driving projects to completion, and anticipating needs without constant supervision.
- Interpersonal Skills: Warm, positive, and empathetic demeanor; exceptional ability to build rapport and align with employers’ preferences and routines.
- Communication: Fluent in English with outstanding verbal and written communication skills for clear, professional interactions.
- Adaptability: Strong, flexible, and able to handle a variety of tasks in a dynamic environment with grace and efficiency.
- Technology Savvy: Comfortable installing and using mobile apps for task management and communication; proficient in conducting internet research.
- Reliability & Integrity: Legal work status, impeccable references, and a commitment to confidentiality and trustworthiness.
- Lifestyle: Non-smoker, no drug use, and must own a reliable car for errands and commuting.
Compensation & Benefits

- Mileage Reimbursement: 65 cents per mile for errands and work-related travel.
- Schedule: Approximately 10–15 hours per week, typically split across two to four days a week, worked out on a week-to-week basis. Hours are typically 3–4 hours per day. Occasional weekend hours (a couple of hours) may be requested with prior notice and mutual agreement, based on availability.
