They perform in a highly collaborative environment on diverse teams which include technical, creative, and park operations members. These engineers are responsible for all aspects of delivering ride-based attractions at the theme parks around the world.About the Role & TeamThe Document Control Specialist is responsible for providing drawing and technical document configuration management through a database (EDMS) and formalized releases procedures. The Document Control team is ultimately responsible for the accuracy of electronic data and documentation in EDMS and physical location of hardcopy documentation.This role will report to the Data Management Manager.What You Will Do
Perform the integration and archiving of all official releases of architectural and engineering drawings.
Perform accurate level quality control of the architectural and engineering drawings through use of on-line programs (EDM-AUDIT) and visual reviewing.
Transfer all metadata information/drawing title block information from the architectural and engineering drawings into EDMS.
Index the AutoCAD and other electronic files to the metadata information; providing on-line and real-time auditing.
Perform off-line audits and lead audit correction.
Integrate and archive all related facility and engineering documentation in EDMS, including Engineering Communication Forms, Engineering Change Orders, Engineering Change Requests, Bulletins, and Design Directives.
Perform print order distributions of released engineering and architectural drawings.
Support special research projects for users at Walt Disney Imagineering, Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland-Paris.
Contribute to the development of support strategies that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Data Management department.
Required Qualifications & Skills
5 years' experience in an Engineering Document Control environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite of software products (Word, Excel, Access).
Solid understanding of FileMaker Pro, Tango and ProE software packages.
Proficient in the usage of PCs and networks (shared directories on all file-servers); be cognizant in the use of all electronic file types released to Document control;
AutoCAD and other major technical packages experience.
Be proficient in a variety of hardware including but not limited to scanners (A through E size) and scanning software; microfilm readers and rasterizers; plotters, electronic print equipment.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Disney microcomputer systems: Electronic Data Management System (EDMS) and Parts Master (PM)
Working knowledge of Walt Disney Imagineering CAD Standards and/or Industry Standards.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Science or equivalent experience

The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
