Overview:
Shelton Roofing is seeking an experienced and driven Roofing Lead to lead a small crew of roofers. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance, with a proven track record of managing crews and ensuring high standards of workmanship.
Responsibilities:
-Oversee and manage roofing projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with safety regulations.
-Lead, supervise, and train a team of roofers, fostering a collaborative and safe work environment.
-Maintain constant communication with project manager and team members to address any issues and adjust project plans as needed.
-Ensure all roofing installations meet quality standards and are to spec.
-Manage materials and tools, ensuring adequate supplies for the completion of assigned jobs.
-Perform hands-on roofing tasks and demonstrate techniques as necessary.
-Keep detailed records of projects purchases, materials, and scope of work changes.
-Enforce safety protocols among the crew.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience as a roofer with 2 years experience as a leader preferred
-In-depth knowledge of different roofing systems (e.g., shingles, metal, flat roofs) and installation methods.
-Strong leadership and team management skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
-A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
