IT Support Engineer

General Description:

Assist users with hardware, software, and ERP-related issues by diagnosing and resolving technical problems. Responsibilities include installing and configuring systems, supporting end-user training, and maintaining clear communication across teams.

Develop an understanding of user workflows to provide effective support and identify opportunities to improve processes through smarter IT solutions aligned with business goals.

Position Responsibilities:

First responder for help desk tickets (i.e., Windows, Microsoft 365, ERP and related systems, routine hardware problems, printer and other device troubleshooting etc.).

Administer Microsoft 365 services and applications.

Setup and maintain user accounts, access, and permissions (Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Duo, SharePoint, ERP software, etc.).

Device configuration and deployment, troubleshooting, and decommissioning.

Network and telecommunications management (Network monitoring, IP configurations, Printer setup, Teams phones, etc.).

Monitor and maintain IT security (Windows updates, End point security, network traffic monitoring, non­authorized software, etc.).

Provide end-user support for ERP related systems. Requires learning how to use ERP related systems to the ability to train on use.

Review ERP related SQL data via SQL queries. On rare occasion make data changes via SQL.

Provide ERP database backups and restore to test database, as required.

Create, modify, and deploy Crystal Reports and PowerBI analytics repo11s.

Assists with IT and ERP projects as assigned by IT Manager

Write and maintain user documentation.

Maintain accurate inventory of lT assets.

Experience Required:

Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree or higher

Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of hands-on real-world IT experience

Additional Skills:

Must possess strong troubleshooting abilities.

Strong understanding of IT hardware, software, and peripherals.

Intermediate understanding of security and compliance.

Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Domain Services, Windows Permissions, Group Policy, Network and IP configurations (DHCP and Static).

Experience implementing security controls and compliance requirements.

Understanding of business information systems like ERP, EDI, and report services.

Intermediate level of SQL SSMS proficiency (permissions, backup, restore, general queries, etc.).

Repo11 creation and modification in Crystal Reports and PowerBI.

Experience with IT asset management and compliance tracking.

Understanding of basic networking concepts.

Familiarity with version control.

Experience with documentation and process improvement.

Experience with remote support tools.
