Split Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday 10:00am to 6:30pm - Voluntary Saturday OT (occasional)
This is a hands on Maintenance Lead expected to work alongside with other mechanics on all maintenance duties as needed.
Duties:
1.) Lead the production changeover on all JPL machines (JIM, TAPE and WEB)
2.) Troubleshoot and repair major and minor issues on all JPL equipment
3.) Responsible for keeping up with preventative maintenance inspections on all JPL equipment
4.) Minor repairs to the JPL building and forklifts
5.) Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring
6.) Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic issues
7.) Troubleshoot and repair PLC issues
8.) Assign tasks to Mechanic A and B when repairing, troubleshooting or changing over JPL equipment
9.) With help of the Production Supervisor, decides what piece of equipment takes higher priority when there is more than one issue at hand
10.) Daily checks on JPL equipment making sure everything is in working order
11.) Keeping a healthy stock on all necessary parts that are needed in our operations (bearings, belts, sensors, motors, etc)
12.) Keeps Maintenance shop organized and clean
13.) All other duties assigned by Production Manager
Requirements:
1) A Highschool Diploma or GED Equivalent
2) A minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanics
3) Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
4) Knowledge and experience in welding, motor wiring, industrial electricity, PLC, pneumatics
6) Effective in prioritizing assigned duties and evaluate the work of personnel
6) Outstanding skills for offering training and leadership to staff
7) Ability to interpret, illustrate and apply codes and rules
