Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Distribution Manager to join their team. As a Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for managing the distribution of goods and products from our manufacturing and construction company to customers.
Description (
- Oversee the daily workflow of the distribution team, including receiving, storing, and shipping staff
- Interview and hire warehouse and transportation staff
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure efficient and effective distribution of goods and products
- Establish warehouse safety programs to ensure a safe working environment
- Other supervisory responsibilities as deemed appropriate by their direct report managers
Requirements
- High School diploma with at least 5 years of distribution management experience. An Associates’ Degree in a related field is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or better is desirable. If the graduate degree is in a related field, this is an additional plus. All experience over 5 years is an additional plus.
- Strong communication skills, analytical problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be able to work normal business hours and any other time required to ensure the requirements of the position are met.
