Job Title: Project Manager/EstimatorJob DescriptionThe Project Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the client and our team, managing all project-related responsibilities from estimation to client relations and business development for future opportunities. This role offers the unique chance to build and maintain a client base, handle HVAC/plumbing/process sales, and collaborate with field leadership to manage labor for each project.Responsibilities
Act as the single source of responsibility to both the company and the customer.
Perform all necessary project management functions including concept engineering, complete estimates, written proposals, and direct meetings to ensure successful job completion.
Manage contracts effectively, overseeing sales, estimating, procurement, and execution.
Coordinate field labor and installation sequencing between the customer and field leadership.
Understand and manage financial aspects of the job, including forecasting, budget preparation, and cost control within agreed-upon limits.
Prepare and provide necessary documentation such as letters, proposals, memos, contracts, change orders, and strategies for sound business procedures and legal protection.
Handle billing and job costing accurately.
Build and manage strong relationships with internal and external customers, including vendors, subcontractors, and industry contacts.
Lead client meetings and develop contracts to finalize sales.
Provide project coordination, leadership, and guidance across all departments during project construction.
Contribute to special studies, committees, and initiatives to advance technical abilities in engineering, planning and estimating, and installation procedures.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, consulting with appropriate personnel including Management and Department Heads.
Attend all relevant project management, sales, and construction meetings.
Schedule and coordinate pre-construction project kickoff meetings with department heads and supervisors.
Utilize and coordinate staff from all departments as necessary to meet customer requirements.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience for intermediate PM roles
8+ years of experience in a PM role
Experience in project management, construction management, and HVAC project management
Proficiency in estimation and construction estimating software
Strong skills in bidding, proposals, procurement, forecasting, budget management, and job costing
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in mechanical and engineering fields
Personable and capable of building strong client relationships
Ability to manage HVAC projects valued at $10M+
Work EnvironmentThe role is based in Fresno, CA, at the address 4980 E University Ave #103. The team is collaborative and values mentorship, with the Project Manager expected to be a leader in the office. The position requires availability from Monday to Friday, with working hours starting as early as 6:00 am and ending as late as 8:00 pm, depending on the needs of the day.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.Typical hours: Monday to Friday, starting as early as 6:00 am and ending as late as at 8:00 pm depending on the needs of the day. There are often weekend hours and evening hours required as well as part of your jobTravel: Based on business needs to and from the primary office to regional branch offices and job sites. Varying work in varying locations.Competitive Wages:$120,000 to $160,000 Annual Salary.
