Bachelors (Masters highly preferred)

Participates in conceptualization, modeling, analysis, development, documentation, and test/validation of hardware for new semiconductor equipment.

Designs parts using materials like metals, ceramics, quartz, plastics, and advanced coatings/platings, ensuring manufacturability aligns with performance and cost goals.

Ensures documentation adheres to relevant standards (ANSI, DIN, etc.), demonstrating proper use of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Performs analytical work to specify new and existing designs, including analysis of heat transfer, stress, vibrations, fluid/gas dynamics, and manufacturability.

Develops and executes test plans to validate and understand the performance of designs.

Creates high-quality reports and presentations for design reviews, clearly communicating design intent, analysis, and validation.

Works closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure high-quality, cost-optimized solutions are delivered for defined requirements.

May design and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and processes for handling, assembling, or disassembling parts and assemblies throughout the product life cycle.

Establishes operational process standards.

Prepares required deliverables as outlined in the product development plan, including FMEA, technical specifications, risk analysis, test specifications, and design review presentations.
