Job Description As a System Engineer II, you will provide system implementation, support, monitoring, and maintenance of Cerner's solutions and services. You will perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability as well as perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades, and resource optimization. You will also be responsible for implementing and monitoring applications and servers, respond to alarms in a timely manner to prevent client impact and performance degradation. As a member of this team, you will manage changes and project activities while communicating with impacted stakeholders and includes developing and deploying automation tools to optimize daily activities as well as complete assigned incident management tasks. In addition, you will deploy, setup, as well as maintain testing environment as well as be responsible for providing tier III and other support per service requests.Qualifications
Basic Qualifications- At least 6 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
- At least 1 year of system administration and/or system engineering work experience
- At least 5 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job
- MCSA or CCNA certification
- Healthcare IT background
- At least 1 year of experience in Operating System (OS) vulnerability mediation
- At least 2 years of experience as a System Engineer handling system administration on various Windows 2012/2016/2019 Citrix, VMWare
- At least 2 years of experience in Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, etc.
- At least 2 years of experience on Windows/VMWare infrastructure
- At least 2 years of experience on Workspace ONE
- At least 2 years of SCCM experience
- At least 2 years of Powershell experience
- Must reside in or around the San Diego, CA area
- May be required to lift up to 20 lbs., i.e. server, network equipment
- Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
