Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking Manufacturing Engineers (Experienced) to join the team located in El Segundo, CA, working 2nd Shift.Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies. Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Develops, identifies, and implements readiness for assembly, integration and test processes. Leads Integration Readiness Reviews as applicable and as stipulated by the program. Leads and implements manufacturing plans. Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices. Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.Position Responsibilities:

Gather and define key artifacts to assess production readiness.

Executes production readiness, ensuring all tooling, people, planning, and engineering is ready for flawless execution.

Perform or provide technical oversight of producibility analysis, utilizing department standards and best practices.

Support design reviews, analyses, and simulations to ensure the production system meets program requirements.

Participate in new business development efforts by producing cost, schedule, and enterprise standard gated process artifacts.

Contribute to the overall betterment of the organization through special project engagement, coaching, and continuous improvement.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location (El Segundo, CA).This w orksite participates in Boeing’s optional 9/80 schedule rotation. 9/80 is a rotation in which employees can work 9 hour shifts, 8 days per pay period (bi-weekly) and receive every other Friday off.This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

5+ years of experience with Manufacturing and/or Integration in a production environment.

5+ years of experience with readiness in a production environment and deriving production system requirements.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Extensive experience spacecraft assembly, integration, and test processes.

Knowledgeable on overall production system parameters such as MRP, MBOM methodologies, PLM, and Configuration Management

Knowledgeable in common satellite product structures and build flows

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
