Assistant Controller

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Assistant Controller in El Monte, California. This role is particularly suited to individuals with a strong background in the aerospace manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be integral in ensuring accurate and efficient financial processes within the company.Responsibilities: Oversee the month-end close process to ensure efficiency and accuracy Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations regularly Verify that all subledgers and reports align with the general ledger Prepare any necessary adjusting journal entries as required Develop financial reports on a regular basis Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports Contribute to ad hoc reporting for the corporate headquarters as needed Utilize intermediate spreadsheet software skills in daily tasks Collaborate with all management levels in a cross-functional team environment Apply knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, SAGE) in daily operations. Requirements Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as an Assistant Controller or in the Accounting field Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Accounting Functions Proven ability to manage Month End Close processes Extensive experience in Financial Reporting Strong ability in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
