We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for our Team Members.Food Scientist - 100% RemoteThe Food Scientist plays a key role, providing strong technical expertise throughout all phases of the Niagara commissioning process at multiple manufacturing locations. Serving as the primary interface between Beverage Development and the Manufacturing team, this incumbent must engage with various cross-functional teams, including Operations, Corporate and Plant Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Batching Operation teams. The incumbent assumes Beverage Development leadership role in supporting new line start-ups, executing trials for new formulas, and proficiently addressing any complexities or challenges related to Beverage Development at the manufacturing sites.Essential Functions

Lead as the Beverage Development expert during new line commissioning and new formula commercialization at different manufacturing locations.

Lead as the technical expert in commissioning new formulas, utilizing extensive knowledge of ingredient functionalities, formulations, and processes. Apply troubleshooting skills for successful commissioning.

Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance (QA), Batching Operations, and Manufacturing teams to execute line trials for new formulations, ensuring all steps during batching as well as finished product specifications are met at manufacturing site(s).

Take charge of supporting manufacturing operations to align with business plans, driving continuous efficiency, and fostering productivity improvements.

Facilitate clear communication among Beverage Development, Product Development, Supply Chain, Procurement, QA, and Operations. Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional teams, ensuring awareness of key project milestones.

Create and maintain records of plant trial and start-up reports throughout the commissioning process, including processing parameters, batching records, finished product analytical results, primary and secondary packaging codes, and ingredient kits.

Assist in developing test design plans for plant trials and promote a culture of continuous improvement, striving for sustainable high standards in manufacturing and supply chain performance.

Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, QA, Procurement, and suppliers to identify opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings.

Stay informed about new ingredients, technologies, and processes relevant to Niagara's product portfolios.

Support LEAN manufacturing principles, best practices, and annual improvement activities.

The ideal candidate will be based in the Dallas, TX, or surrounding area, or may require up to 75% travel.

Qualifications

Required:

2-4 years – Food/ Beverage Product Development

2-4 years – Project Management

2-4 years – Food or Beverage manufacturing

Fluent with all MS Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Preferred:

3-5 years – Food/ beverage Development

3-5 years – Project Management

3-5 years – Food or beverage manufacturing

Knowledge of Oracle and Trace Gains supplier management system are a plus

experience may include a combination of work experience and education

Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills, ensuring streamlined handling of responsibilities and projects.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear and concise interaction with team members and stakeholders.

Detail-oriented approach, capable of working independently and with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accuracy and precision in tasks.

Education

Minimum Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or other science related field

Preferred:

Master's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or other science related field
