Billing Clerk

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Credit Clerk to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Delano, California. The role primarily involves processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications Manage and maintain customer credit records Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner Monitor customer credit accounts regularly Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments Manage financial data to discern outstanding invoices Collect, sort, and input all invoice, credit, bill, and order statements into accounting software Draft and deliver invoice statements for customers and vendors Process payments through various channels Issue reminder and final notice statements to dilatory and delinquent customers Record and update all payment information in accounting software. Requirements Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a billing role within the manufacturing industry is desirable Proficiency in using billing software and other related computer applications Strong understanding of billing procedures Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with high level of accuracy Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically Basic understanding of accounting principles is beneficial.
