Staff Accountant

Description A company in Covina is looking for a well skilled Staff Accountant, . As a crucial part of our team, the Staff Accountant will be instrumental in handling various accounting tasks within our organization. The Staff Accountant must have a good understanding of GAAP, Accrual and expense analysis. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough reviews and audits of invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP Accounting principles. Follow up on balance sheets, ensuring all information is updated and accurate. Oversee the completion of month-end close processes, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Analyze income statements to understand the financial impact on the company and make necessary recommendations. Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks, ensuring all transactions are accurate and up to date. Perform Bank Reconciliations to verify the company's records match the bank's records. Maintain and update the General Ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and reflect the company's financial transactions. Prepare and post Journal Entries, ensuring they accurately reflect financial transactions. Apply accrual accounting principles in managing the company's financial records, including expense accruals and monthly accruals. Carry out general accounting tasks as required, ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with established accounting principles.Requirements Possess a minimum of 5 years experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP). Proven abilities in managing Accounts Receivable (AR). Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations. Strong understanding and experience of working with General Ledger. Expertise in creating and managing Journal Entries. Experience with Month End Close procedures. Thorough understanding of GAAP Accounting methods. Background in General Accounting practices. Expertise in Accrual Accounting procedures. Proficiency in handling Expense Accruals.
