Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and repairing various types of manufacturing equipment and systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the facility.Responsibilities
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on various machines to keep production moving.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and adjust PLCs to working parameters.
Work independently and with a team of mechanics to complete repairs timely and safely.
Maintain all manufacturing process equipment by performing preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration with minimal downtime.
Use computers and/or machine interfaces to access, maintain, and/or acquire data.
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical data.
Provide technical support and suggest areas of potential efficiency improvement to reduce operating costs, quality, productivity, and safety.
Identify and locate required repair parts for failed systems.
Cross-train other technicians in a timely and professional manner.
Follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Use Personal Protective Equipment where required.
Maintain accurate record-keeping and update electronic files.
Communicate technical problems and issues affecting plant performance to management.
Perform installation, modification, set up, and/or qualification of new or relocated equipment.
Account for all company assets, including spare parts, supplies, materials, tools, and general facility equipment.
Remove defective parts by dismantling assemblies using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools. Determine the root cause of defects and breakdowns.
Essential Skills
Minimum 5 years mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to troubleshoot and fabricate machine parts.
Experience in troubleshooting and programming PLCs.
Proficiency in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing gearboxes, pneumatic tools, hydraulic equipment, and conveyors.
Ability to develop ideas and enhancements to improve equipment performance and safety features.
Mathematical ability to perform and understand calculations used in qualifications and procedures.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical data.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with preventive maintenance and PLC programming.
Strong mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong record-keeping and communication skills.
Willingness to work occasional overtime, call-ins, and scheduled weekend work.
