This position is responsible for supporting and overseeing all aspects of quality and controls which are put in place to ensure the integrity and safety of our product
Work directly with Managerment to uphold and review each process, policy and procedure
GMP walk throughs and audits
Verify that Critical Control Points (CCPs) and preventive controls(allergen controls, supplier controls, process controls, and sanitation controls) are in place & effectively implemented
Pre-operational inspections (monitoring for food safety & quality)
Promote quality by enforcing/brought to the attention of any issues that could be potentially pose a food safety or quality risk
Address and resolve quality issues promptly, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Perform sensory tests (taste, texture, and visual checks) on baked goods to ensure they meet quality standards
Monitor freezer and cooler temperatures to ensure proper storage conditions
Monitor cooking / oven temperatures to ensure food safety compliance
Conduct random checks on batter weights and product temperatures to maintain consistency
Verify correct packaging and labeling of products and batter, including weight checks and label accuracy

Validate the metal detector calibrations and verify the accuracy of scales, thermometers, and other equipment used in production.
Perform clean area checks and monitor sanitation practices to prevent contamination.
Enforce first in, first out (FIFO) rotation policy for raw materials and finished products. Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Document control and filing
Calibrate and validate all measuring equipment
Review Certificates Of Analysis (COAs) to ensure conformance to specifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years working in a food manufacturing environment
Associate of Science or related area of study, and 1+ years of quality assurance experience in a food manufacturing environment
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Program (GMP) standards
Knowledgeable and experienced in general food safety programs and policies - includes government regulations, FDA, USDA, AIB, HACCP, GMP, and Allergen Programs
Proficient in MS Applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Good interpersonal skills
Self-Motivated (Takes Initiative, Enthusiastic, Wants Challenge)
