Telecommunications Underground Laborer / Groundman
Position Summary:
PrimeTek Field Solutions is looking for skilled and dedicated laborers to support the construction, maintenance, and operation of underground telecommunications networks. This role involves a variety of hands-on tasks to install and maintain underground infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Digging: Use shovels, trenchers, and other mechanical tools to excavate ditches and holes for underground cabling.
Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload construction materials and equipment as needed on site.
Installing & Maintaining: Assist in the installation, repair, and upkeep of underground telecommunications cabling.
Operating Equipment: Work with or around heavy machinery, including trucks, backhoes, and trenchers.
Preparing Work Areas: Prepare and organize work sites for construction activities.
Communicating with Team: Maintain clear and consistent visual and audible communication with crew members.
Maintaining Safety Standards: Prioritize safe working habits and help uphold a secure work environment.
Daily Reporting: Accurately complete daily production reports and other required paperwork.
Site Restoration: Contribute to site cleanup and restoration after project completion.

Licensing: A valid Class A CDL is preferred. Class A minimum requirement.
Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record.
Physicality: Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds consistently, upwards of 100 pounds occasionally.
