Veterinary Assistant or RVT needed to start ASAP for a canine, feline and avian veterinary specialty hospital in Magalia (Whispering Pines Pet Clinic). Dr. Weber is one of the only canine and feline specialists in Butte county, and the only avian specialist between Roseville, CA and Salem, OR. We see all small and exotic animals and wildlife (anything except skunks, primates or anything with hooves). We practice the highest quality medicine and surgery, and have a lot of cool equipment. We are looking for a full time veterinary technician or assistant for 8:30-5 Monday through Thursday (off 12-1 for lunch).
Experience is appreciated (but not necessary) and you must get along well with people and animals. We will train you in our methods whether you have veterinary technician or assistant experience or not. You will have to learn fast and on the job, so you must have an open mind and learn simple things after only being told once or maybe twice. Receptionist experience is a plus.
Our ideal employee is a fast learner, takes initiative, cleans things quickly and completely and gets upset with themselves when they mess something up rather than waiting for someone else to get upset with them.
