The Water Labs Technician is responsible for measuring water stress in crops by using a pressure chamber, servicing soil probes and station towers and using computer software to accomplish assigned tasksDuties and Responsibilities Measure plant stress using a pressure chamber and report data to appropriate staff daily. Assist in soil moisture probe set up and installation. Service soil moisture probes and station towers to keep them operating. Calibrate soil moisture probes using appropriate software. · Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of our computer programs, product deliveries and inventory tracking. Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable as needed. Create and publish data for customers as needed. Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance skill set and knowledge base. Present a professional image to our customers in all interactions (verbal, in-person, e-mail, etc.). Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies (i.e. vehicle, equipment usage, social media policy, etc.) and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook. Ability to work overtime on weekdays and weekends as needed. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Edge and Adobe Acrobat.Education/Experience:High School diploma, or equivalent.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
