Job Title: Technical BuyerJob DescriptionResponsibilities include but are not limited to: Issuing a Request for Quotation Placing Purchase Orders in accordance with company policies, procedures, and government regulations Preparing and issuing POs (purchase orders) on complex or specialized parts to support production schedules and departmental requirements Negotiating Cost Savings Working collaboratively and negotiating with suppliers regarding new projects, supplies, and initiatives, and advising on the impact of changes on purchasing and production activities Executing NDA and obtaining approvals Submitting Sole/Single Source Justifications Obtaining Anti-Lobbying Certificates signed Obtaining Debarment Certificates signed prior to Order placement Ensuring compliance with customer contracts, including U.S. government contracts, ensuring complete flow-down of customer contractual requirements, as well as complying with AS9100 policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and Purchase Order process Issuing DO/DX Rated Orders appropriately on Purchase Order Agreements Other duties as assigned by managementHard Skills
Proficiency in ERP systems
Extensive experience in procurement, particularly within a manufacturing or aerospace environment
Issuing Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
Negotiating cost savings
Placing Purchase Orders (POs)
Ensuring compliance with federal contract requirements
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Soft Skills
