We are looking for a talented Stability Technician to be based at the Corporate Headquarters in Carson working on-site with the R&D department in a temporary capacity.Summary

Supports the Stability Chemist in Research and Development by conducting stability and compatibility testing to ensure product quality and integrity.

Works closely with Quality Control, R&D, Regulatory, and Marketing to ensure projects meet required quality and regulatory standards.

Follows project timelines, prioritizes tasks effectively, and meets established deadlines.

Assist in the continuous improvement of stability testing procedures and documentation.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStability & Compatibility Testing

Prepares and monitors stability and compatibility samples according to established protocols.

Conducts stability testing at various time points and storage conditions, evaluating:

Physical properties (e.g., viscosity, appearance, phase separation).

Chemical properties (e.g., pH, color, odor).

Microbiological stability, if applicable.

Assists in the development of stability protocols for new and existing products.

Documentation & Reporting

Records all test results in the Stability Notebook or digital tracking system, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation.

Assists in investigating stability failures or unexpected variations, collaborating with the Stability Chemist and R&D team to determine root causes.

Submits stability reports, findings, and data summaries to the Stability Chemist and Head of R&D for review.

Assists in the preparation of reports for regulatory compliance and product registration submissions.

Material & Inventory Management

Requests raw material and finished product samples from suppliers when necessary for stability evaluations.

Maintains and updates the stability database, ensuring all stability studies are properly tracked and managed.

Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of stability samples.

Lab Maintenance & Compliance

Ensures laboratory work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, GMP).

Follows Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to ensure consistency and reliability in testing.

Assists in calibration and maintenance of lab equipment used for stability testing.

Education & Experience

Minimum Requirement: High School Diploma with a strong background in Chemistry and Biology.

Preferred: Associate-s or Bachelor-s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field.

Experience: 2-5 years of laboratory experience, preferably in cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical, or related industries.

Other Skills & Abilities

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation.

Organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Team player with excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and laboratory software for data tracking and reporting.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting and cross-functional collaboration.
