Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.

QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing automated tests, loadtests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts).

Responsibilities Reviewing requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases Designing, developing and executing automation scripts using open source and acquired tools Developing and maintaining performance tests for multiple environments and scenarios Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating testing activities Identifying, recording, and thoroughly documenting and tracking bugs Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved Developing and applying testing processes for new and existing product features Liaising with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements Monitoring debugging process results Investigating the causes of nonconforming software and training users to implement solutions Tracking quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts Staying up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

Qualifications

Requirements Proven work experience in desktop/mobile web and native mobile application testing Proven work experience in software QA automation, development and implementation of automated tests, as well as the associated tools, frameworks and infrastructures Expertise on industry standard automation tools such as QTP, Selenium, TestComplete, coded UI, etc. Experience with performance and security testing Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject Experience with the following technologies:

  • Selenium WebDriver
  • Selenium Grid
  • Jira
  • Jenkins
  • Puppeteer
