Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Calistoga, California. The selected candidate will be a part of our finance team, working in a fast-paced environment. The primary functions of this role include entering transactions, communicating with vendors, generating reports, and handling day-to-day ad hoc projects.Responsibilities: Accurately process accounts receivable transactions Maintain regular communication with vendors and resolve any issues that may arise Generate and analyze aging reports to ensure timely payment of invoices Carry out various reporting tasks as required, providing accurate and up-to-date financial information Participate in ad hoc projects as needed, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance team Utilize Excel to organize and analyze data, ensuring information is easily accessible and understandable Continually monitor and update customer credit records Investigate and resolve customer credit inquiries Monitor customer credit accounts and take action to collect delinquent payments when necessary Ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures. Requirements The candidate must possess at least 1 year of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or similar. Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is a mandatory requirement for this role. The candidate should have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles. The ability to process and review invoices and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures is a must. The candidate should be able to perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts receivable data. The candidate must be able to reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and correctly posted. The ability to facilitate swift payment of invoices due to the organization by sending bill reminders and contacting clients is required. The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy. The candidate should have strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build relationships with clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and accounting software is a must. The candidate should have a high level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information. The candidate must have a high school diploma. An associate's degree or relevant certification in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
