Using data and insights, the team plays an integral part in key business decisions and helps maximize the potential of The Walt Disney Company brands and franchises globally.Reporting to the Senior Manager, Franchise Insights, the Senior Analyst is responsible for helping shape insights and communicating strategic recommendations to executive leadership on business driving topics. As the key analytic resource on a wide variety of high-profile projects, the Senior Analyst prepares data that drives decision-making at the highest levels of The Walt Disney Company.The Franchise Insights team dual reports into Brand Management (Corporate Segment) and Studio Research & Analytics (Disney Entertainment Segment).Responsibilities
Support global tracking studies to measure performance of our characters and franchises among kids and adults around the world
Support custom research projects to help inform business decisions related to the strategic directions of our characters and franchises
Conduct ad-hoc analyses to answer key business questions from Executive Leadership
Leverage primary research, syndicated research and cross-segment data sources to develop a clear POV on the strengths/opportunities of franchises; work will be used to inform strategic initiatives (e.g. franchise strategies, tracking marketing programs, informing new initiatives)
Assist in developing story-driven decks and occasionally presenting findings to partners across the organization
Basic Qualifications
3+ years experience in a market research/consumer insights (focus on quant), consulting, strategy, or analytics role
Ability to interpret and integrate insights from multiple data sources into a cohesive narrative
Strong analytical skills
Experience crafting presentations that clearly communicate data and research findings
Experience presenting research findings to audiences familiar and unfamiliar with data and research
Strong project management skills and ability to execute quality work within tight deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
Ability to work in an environment with multiple priorities
Mature, enthusiastic, and demonstrates a strong collaborative yet consultative approach!
Preferred Qualifications:
Entertainment industry experience highly preferred, but not required
Experience using statistical software packages like Q, SPSS, or similar is a plus, but not required
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
The hiring range for this position in California is $92,800 to $124,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
