With our combined resources CommonSpirit is committed to building healthy communities advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable and innovating how and where healing can happen both inside our hospitals and out in the community.ResponsibilitiesThis position will require travel on a recurring basis every other week covering our 6 Central Valley hospitals spanning from Bakersfield to Stockton.SummaryPrimarily responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and overseeing the activities and personnel of the receiving, inventory, and distribution functions for a given market (multiple facilities). This position will maintain an efficient and cost effective materials system to ensure that necessary supplies are available at each facility when and where they are needed. Responsible for managing shipping and receiving, storage, distribution throughout the given market, and for maintaining and reporting accurate inventories. Additionally, this position is the accountable supply chain leader for the market, responsible for owning facility and market executive relationships. Leads facility supply chain leaders and their teams, and leverages key relationships to deploy national SSRM strategies across the market and achieve operational performance targets.Key Responsibilities

Forges successful relationships with facility and market executives to ensure clear communication regarding SSRM Operations performance and value creation opportunities.

Accountable for the market performance on operational performance indicators.

Optimizes the total cost of ownership for the supply chain including supply expense, labor, and other operating expenses related to supply chain activity within the market.

Ensures department complies with established standard operating procedures, policies, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental, and infection control policies and procedures.

Selects, orientates, assigns, and evaluates SSRM facility leadership.

Manages departments to national SSRM standards of performance, making operational and personnel decisions to achieve desired performance.

Prepares, submits, and manages performance for facility SSRM labor budgets, in partnership with the national SSRM team.

Promotes improvement efforts throughout the market to streamline processes, optimize financial performance, and identify areas of general inefficiency.

Ensures department goals and objectives help to carry out the organization's strategic plan, philosophy, and vision.

Provides insights and feedback into the development of operating standards to ensure optimal leveraging of SSRM capabilities to support market strategies / needs.

QualificationsRequired:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field

7 years’ experience in Supply Chain within a healthcare facility system or other relevant experience

Established leadership skills

Knowledge of coaching and mentoring best practices

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Project, Access, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Strong written and oral communications skills

Ability to influence and motivate others in order to achieve targets within a determined time period

Ability to prepare quick pointed summaries for executives and stakeholders

Ability to deal with conflict and difficult people

Preferred:

Master's Degree

Project management, operations, and analytic experience
