Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a skilled Accountant in Bakersfield, California. As an Accountant, you will be tasked with the management of accounting entries, ensuring the smooth running of office operations, and maintaining professionalism in all tasks. You will also be responsible for overseeing general accounting functions and procedures while managing office expenses and other related costs.Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the general functions of the office, ensuring all tasks are completed properly and professionally. Handle telephone inquiries in a friendly and personable manner, ensuring all calls are dealt with promptly. Administer and manage general accounting functions and procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Oversee the management of office expenses and related costs, ensuring that the office operates within its budget. Maintain accurate records of all accounting entries, ensuring all data is up to date and accurate. Oversee the recruitment process and employee transitions, ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly. Conduct orientation for new employees and manage the transition process for employees leaving the company. Prepare financial reports on a monthly basis for distribution to board members. Utilize Quickbooks Online for daily accounting entries and to prepare financial reports. Manage the receipt of cash and perform daily reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accounted for. Administer Human Resources functions, including employee record keeping and managing employee evaluations. Requirements Candidate must possess a minimum of 10 years' experience in accounting. Proficiency in Quickbooks Online is required for management of financial data. Ability to handle accounting entries accurately and efficiently. Must have a strong understanding of accounting functions and processes. Should be capable of preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements. Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration is necessary for managing personnel-related financial matters.
