We are looking for an accountant for a non-profit organization located in San Francisco. This person will be responsible for working with grants and the accounting related to grants. The role is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Track and record all expenses related to the assigned grants.
Ensure all financial transactions comply with grant requirements and organizational policies.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports to validate spending.
Monitor budget allocations and provide updates to program managers.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of grant related transactions.
Provide accurate GL account coding to accounting team
Other tasks as assigned by the Global Controller – related to accounting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in grant accounting or financial management is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial staff.
