This job oversees major capital projects, ensuring project scope, cost, and resources are managed, while coordinating with clients and teams to execute construction, commissioning, and compliance with safety and project deliverables.location: Arvin, Californiajob type: Contractsalary: $51.45 - 76.15 per hourwork hours: 8am to 5pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:

Monitor design progress and ensure deliverables meet key project components.

Understand project deliverables to coordinate bid package development and release.

Assist in selecting contractors and contracting methods based on engineering methodologies.

Direct and execute installation, construction, and commissioning of projects.

Manage project scope and secure approvals for changes.

Control project budget by tracking on-site headcount and material deliveries.

Maintain project milestone schedules with detailed scheduling per the project charter.

Provide construction management and plant startup assistance.

Evaluate, select, and issue contracts for construction firms through bidding and prequalification.

Approve work permits for construction activities.

Ensure site compliance with OSHA 1926 safety standards.

Coordinate construction activities with safety personnel, contractors, and vendors.

Participate in weekly contractor safety meetings.

Monitor contractor workmanship according to specifications and scope of work.

Lead punchlist activities with contractors.

Keep project management informed of daily project activities.

Maintain a lessons-learned file for future reference.

Review and approve payment requests based on work completion.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.

Experience in construction management and industrial manufacturing or building construction.

Experience with large capital expenditure (capex) projects.

Proficiency in scheduling software, project management tools, and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred experience as a construction manager for a client and in greenfield projects.
