Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator located in Alameda, California. This role involves supporting shipping and global cargo logistics, coordinating timings, documentation, and internal communications. The position is essential to our operations and requires someone with excellent organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities: Ensuring timely pick-up and deliveries worldwide by communicating with cargo forwarders, customs agents, and trucking companies. Preparing necessary documentation for customs clearance, such as commercial invoices, carnets, and bills of lading. Managing shipment processes and performance to support global operations. Serving as an in-house coordinator to efficiently address and expedite both domestic and international shipping needs. Working extended hours and weekends when necessary to address critical movements. Utilizing various software applications including Business systems, Cargowise, CRM, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, and About Time to streamline operations. Maintaining excellent customer service and communication skills to handle inquiries and issues. Leveraging knowledge of small package shipping, via UPS, FedEx, and other commercial carriers. Working independently with minimal direction in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Showcasing familiarity with customs procedures and documentation requirements for domestic and international shipping. Requirements Proficiency in 'Business Systems', 'Cargowise', 'CRM', 'ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning', 'ERP Solutions', 'About Time', 'Billing Functions' is required. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Exceptional customer service skills are essential. Familiarity with customs regulations and procedures. Ability to efficiently coordinate and manage logistics operations. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a logistics environment. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance. Knowledge of industry-specific software and technology. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly. Solid understanding of supply chain management principles. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
