Gelcoat (2nd Shift)

Job Description

We are looking for the candidate with painting experience, that enjoys creating quality products and has an eye for detail! This department applies Gelcoat to boat hull and boat deck molds according to production orders. • This is a second shift position, and the hours are from 4:30 pm to 2:30 am
• Starting pay for this position, including a shift premium, is $14.50/hour
• All positions are safety sensitive

Qualifications

• Spray Gelcoat, check for proper millage, read orders and apply corresponding color requested.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Work with a team to complete daily tasks.
• Must be able to wear full mask respirator.
• Be able to use small hand tools including: gelcoat gun, razor knife and scissors etc.
• Inspects all parts so that they are complete and up to quality standards.

• Must meet physical requirements such as heavy lifting, bending, twisting
• Must be able to handle chemicals (gelcoat, fiberglass and resin.)
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Must be able to follow directions from supervisors
• Personal Protective Equipment- Safety Glasses, full- mask respirator, Tyvek protection suit.

• Previous Autobody or boat gelcoat painting experience
• Experience with fiberglass or resin

• Forklift experience
