Title: Datawarehouse Developer Sr. Preferred Location: Indianapolis IN / Harrisburg PA / Syracuse NY

Will consider eligible candidates from other locations in US as well.

Our National Government Services team is looking to expand their datawarehouse team. We are looking for a skilled professional with experience in ETL technologies along with some cloud data technology experience.
  • Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements. Collaborates with engineers and graphic designers, analyzes and classifies complex change request and reviews and evaluates possible enhancements.
  • Works with development team to develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare functional and/or technical specifications.
  • Analyzes and evaluates detailed business and technical requirements.
  • Codes and maintains complex components of information systems.
  • Mentors others on coding standards and performs code reviews.
  • Develops and performs system testing and fixes defects identified during testing and re-executes unit tests to validate results.
  • Aids in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts.
  • Provides on call support and monitors the system and identifies system deficiencies.
Must be able to:
  • Assemble and develop data processes that meet technical and business requirements
  • Identify, design and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
  • Build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency and metadata
  • Build required infrastructure (code, scripting, solutions) for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using data processing platforms (Informatica, Kafka, SQL technologies, Cloud)
  • Competent with large-scale ETL/ELT/extract processing for data warehousing environments
  • Design and Implement automated processes to provide low maintenance solutions
  • Work with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues
  • Perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions
  • Analyze, triage, troubleshoot and resolve issues with data extracts and data feeds
Qualifications BA/BS degree or technical institute training; 3+ years experience on one platform, multi database, multi language or multi business application, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Incumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, lead small projects and provide troubleshooting support. Technical/Platform Experience :
  • Informatica (PowerCenter), Apache Kafka, Microsoft SSIS, Python,
  • Data Integration/Pipeline tools,
  • Data Automation technologies,
  • Knowledge of database platforms (Oracle, SQLServer, NoSQL - MongoDB/PostgreSQL/etc.).
  • File Transfer/Management utilities (Automate, Connect:Direct, FTP, enterprise schedulers)

Additional desired skills : Cloud data technology experience a plus (AWS/Azure, Snowflake, RDS, etc.), Experience in Metadata Management, Data Catalog, Data Glossary, Informatica tools/modules (Axon, B2B, etc.), MicroStrategy is desired.
