Work Shift: 2ND SHIFT (United States of America)Occupational health nursing is the specialty practice that delivers health and safety programs and services to workers and worker populations. The practice focuses on promotion and restoration of health, prevention of illness and injury, and protection from work-related and environmental hazards. Come join our team where we are “Raising the world’s expectations for how much good food can do.”This position is responsible for providing primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses; performing required health assessments for specified programs; conducting required screening tests such as drug and alcohol testing, spirometry testing or audiometric testing; maintaining OSHA, state and employee health records; adhering to the highest standard of confidentiality; participating in plant safety and ergonomic programs; assisting with health promotion, education and training programs; identifying and assisting with workers' compensation cases; assisting with maintenance and documentation of workers' compensation files and performing other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education: Completion of a registered nursing program, required. Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse required. Experience: 1 plus years' experience in the performance of nursing skills relative to occupational health nursing or relevant nursing field preferred. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Ability to work with an electronic medical documentation system. Other Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong problem solving and organizational skills.Travel: Occasional travel to local clinic/hospitalWhen completing a Tyson Foods employment application, be sure to complete all tasks listed on the candidate home page.
