Summary The Quality Maintenance (QM) and Focused Improvement (FI) Coordinator will safely manage quality systems including defect detection equipment, coordinate focused improvement initiatives, be a root cause analysis expert, and train and coach others on the use of QM/FI TPM tools. The position requires the ability to collect and analyze data, propose potential solutions, and implement solutions. A critical skill required for the position is maintaining data to record losses, preparing, and presenting work, closing gaps, and working in excel, word, and power point. This position is also responsible for participating in the daily management processes. Work Hours Monday – Friday Primary Duties and Responsibilities Defect detection systems - Obtain superuser status with the ability to troubleshoot and knowing when to escalate to leadership
Certificate of Analysis (COA) – setup/modify new customers in AWAQS, correct COAs, COA generation
Own Layered Process Audit system for the plant including scheduling, tracking of findings, creations, closures, and completion, removal, and training
Coordinate and perform necessary 5S audits for quality areas
Conducts and creates quality and root cause analysis training
Coordinates QM/FI pillar team and backup for leader
Manages block stock
Helps drive and improve the daily management process
Leads and participates in root causes analysis activities, customer complaints investigations, process escalations and FI activities.
Help execute production trials
Understand and be able to instruct others on QC lab equipment and procedures

Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, data quality systems)
Intermediate skills in Cognex (preferred but not required)
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Associates degree or higher in manufacturing or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience
Education/Experience in Quality, Training, and Work experience in quality
Required to have or obtain training certification
TPM experience (preferred) or obtain training
ISO (International Standards of Operation) experience (preferred) or obtain training
Essential Physical Requirements
Ability to safeguard self with proper PPE for the specific task
Walk, Sit, Stand for duration of shift with regular breaks
Ability to work extended hours as necessary
Able to Operate Computers & Computerized equipment for quality, safety and compliance testing and training.
Communicate with co-workers face to face, by telephone, and electronic communications.
Able to give and understand instructions and hold conversations in manufacturing environment, as well as an office or classroom setting.
Possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment, operate a computer and other standard office equipment.
Vision adequate to manipulate equipment controls, complete paperwork, utilize computers, and have depth perception.
Complete training for all OSHA and Industry/Plant Required Safety Programs: Powered Industrial Trucks, LOTO, Confined Space Entry and Fall Protection usage.
Lift up to 50 lbs. independently and heavier weights with assistance.
Climb stairs, steps, and ladders, as well as work at heights on equipment, platforms, and walkways.
Perform bending, squatting, kneeling, leaning, and reaching at both ground level and overhead.
