Sous Chef needed at very busy Italian Restaurant downtown Bentonville - half a block off the square

We are looking for a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinarty team.

What we are looking for:

a SOUS CHEF to take the place of our current SOUS CHEF who is moving out of state. This position will start training in the next few weeks after giving a proper notice to your current employer (or can start training immediatley) We are starting the interview process this week

This individual will -

be passionate about food - a foodie!

ensure smooth service & kitchen operations

be comfortable & have experience with high volume

have excellent leadership skills with ability to teach/coach and train all BOH employees with patience, positivity & a great sence of humor. Doesn't take themselves too serious. Likes to laugh and have fun. Creates a fun environment.

the ability to follow recipes & specs with the best possible quality ingredients without cutting corners. All of our pasta is made in house daily, house-made from scratch kitchen!

will continue our culture of positivity, high morale, cleanliness, organization, exceptional food quality, in a drama free environment.

maintain proper safe & sanitary work environment

assume the roles & responsibilities of Chef/Owner when Chef is not present

maintain teamwork and synergy between FOH & BOH through proper communication & delegating of tasks

maintains motivational leadership, leads by example

works on the line ensuring quality & consistancy

excellent organization and cleanliness with ordering & maintaining food prep quality, consistancy, zero waste.

inventory & cost control

follows food safety standards

follows all state and local laws

positive, team player

We are a certified green restaurant and a zero waste kitchen! We recycle & compost! Zero plastics!

work schedule - TBD with Chef

We are currently closed on Sundays & Mondays (we will be opening up Mondays soon!)

The restaurant business hours are currently 5pm-9pm Tues-Sat

Salary - Based on Experience - Paid Bi-weekly

We serve employee dinner daily
