Acxiom is seeking a dedicated Working Grounds Manager/Keeper to manage the care of the landscaping on our campus as well as manage subcontractors needed to perform the work. This is a hands-on/working manager role. The primary responsibilities include performing routine upkeep, such as mowing, pruning shrubbery, weeding, sweeping walkways and all landscaping operations. Must have knowledge of chemical treatments in these areas as well.What you will do:Mowing/Edge trimming: All turf areas will be mowed as needed during the growing season to maintain a healthy manicured lawn. Mowing and trimming shall be performed in a manner that will provide a neat, even appearance for the turf areas.
Pruning: Provide monthly inspections of trees, shrubs, and ground cover.
Weeding/Fertilizing: Be responsible that all grounds are sprayed, fertilized or pre-emergent herbicide in early spring, early fall, and as needed to maintain a clean, neat appearance.
Edging: Keep landscaped bed edges free of debris and well defined.
Leaf Removal: Remove fallen leaves and pine needles as needed to maintain a clean and neat appearance
Bush Hog: Bush hog designated areas
Debris: Shall pick up all debris, i.e., paper, sticks, rocks, etc., from turf areas prior to mowing.
Snow and ice removal: Remove ALL snow from the primary building entrances and sidewalk areas leading out to the parking spaces directly in front of the primary entrances.
Sprinkler System Maintenance: Monitor and adjust the sprinkler system for proper coverage and watering.
Manage contractors during summer months to ensure all landscape work is completed weekly.
What you will have:5+ years experience actively grounds keeping/managing a commercial location of 50 acres+.
Experience as a crew foreperson and/or managing subcontractors.
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Excellent communication & organization skills
Ability & willingness to work onsite between Conway, AR & Little Rock, AR
