Position: Data Engineer/Bigdata EngineerLocation: Bentonville, ARDuration: Long TermContract C2C
NOTE: Previous Walmart Experience is Mandatory.• 6+ years of experience in IT with 5+ years of experience in big data technologies development • Should have experience in Retail domain/Should have worked in retail projects • Solid experience in large scale distributed systems and event-driven architectures • Experience in building scalable, robust applications using Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Map reduce • Proficient with SQL • Experience with Scripting – Python, shell • Experience in using source control systems such as Git or Clearcase, issue tracking systems like JIRA. • Strong expertise in agile development. • Demonstrated ability to understand the business and ability to contribute to technology direction that gives to measurable business improvements. • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and to thrive under pressure. o Strong communicator with the ability to work effectively across multiple business and engineering teams o Ability to learn new technologies and implement solutions based on business requirements • Nice to have - Experience with MySQL • Nice to have – experience with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Apache Nifi Location This position is based in Bentonville, Arkansas though can discuss remote working options if required.
