Elite Sales & Service is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our team!
A sign on bonus will be offered after 90 day probationary period.
Responsibilities
Diagnose/Troubleshoot & repair trucks from light duty to heavy, construction equipment & trailers.
Perform preventative maintenance on all makes & models of equipment
Accurately fill out maintenance reports & paperwork in a timely fashion
Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
Minimize downtime by fixing potential problems during another repair
Perform annual DOT Inspections
Qualifications
Class B CDL required
Own complete set of tools or willing to invest in tools required
Previous experience as a mechanic
Experience with diagnostic equipment (ex: Cummins Insite)
Trade school, mechanical course or equivalent highly a plus
Able to work out of provided service truck in the field year round
Strong mechanical aptitude & troubleshooting skills
Maintain a positive attitude
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Must have a valid Arizona State Driver License
Clean driving record - no accidents in the past three years, will require a 3-year MVR
Ability to work long hours if needed
Self-starter, works independently, good organizational skills
Strong fabrication, hydraulic, electrical, welding, A/C, clutch, powertrain troubleshooting & repair skills.
Work is based out of Tucson, AZ. Salary based pay, you will rarely work nights or weekends. Alternating 5-day and 4-day work weeks, you will have three-day weekends every other weekend. Health insurance is available as well as paid time off.
